Pick Punch - Create Your Own Plectrums
Years ago, plectums were made of tortoise shell, bone, horn and hooves. Brian May from Queen liked to use a six pence piece as a plectrum. Now, with the aid of a "Pick Punch", you can easily create your own plectrums out of meterials you can find at home!
What Is It
This tool is basically a hole punch that cuts out guitar plectrum shaped pieces of plastic. It’s about the size of a normal desktop stapler and works with a similar action - squeeze it to cut out a plectril from any plastic material.
You can recycle old credit cards, gift cards, plastic lids or you can buy a sheet of celluloid or delrin to cut from. The Pick Punch should ba available to purcahse in a couple of months. We hope to get hold of one to review.
