Mode Applications

In modern times Modes are being used as compositional and improvisational tools but it is sometimes confusing how to apply them. For this reason it is important to have a basic understanding of how modes relate in a chord/scale relationship.

Delta Blues Introduction

Modern rock and metal music, amongst many other genres, owes much to the influences and theories behind blues.

The licks shown here sound great on an acoustic guitar, but you can clearly play them on an electric set to give a fuzzy bluesy tone.

Pentatonic Scale Basics

A popular scale cropping up all over the place, especially in rock music, is the minor pentatonic scale. Even if you haven’t heard of this before, you have probably already played it without knowing. It’s a very simple piece of musical knowledge, and is a great place to start out (if you’re perhaps a beginner) in learning your way around the fretboard.

The Gripmaster tool is often see under the accessory pages of many guitar magazines and websites. Funnily enough - the product website doesn’t even mention guitars! This is aimed at getting more strength into your fingers to help fret notes and to build endurance in your fingers, wrist, and arms.

Fret2Fret Software Review

Every good site should contain a full mix of both good and bad reviews. This is one for the latter I’m afraid. I have Google’s Adsense setup on the website to deliver you the users, some targeted adverts. Whilst any advert is something I can’t really stand - I had faith in Google to deliver us something good. I have looked at many different sites that these ads link to - and some are great. Infact, I have another great review to follow shortly. However, the software I am going to talk to you about is not the case.
